Our experience with different types of tooling that has
evolved from
our customer's needs has driven us to develope our own software to keep
record of these projects. It became necessary to track inputs
and
constraints that influenced design and construction of the
tooling that we provide as well as the cost accounting for these
projects. Our solution was a browser based database driven
application. The browser front-end creates a simple interface
so
that users can access important information quickly and easily.
Pertinent data for each project is quickly comminicated to
all
personel involved with each project and administrators have real-time
oversite of each project.
The
benifit to our customers comes from the
fact that we have the historical data on your projects. When
changes are made we can recall the complete history of all modification
or adjustment that occurred with each tool or project. As our customers
needs change, we taylor our software to quickly comply with
these
changes.
To further enhance our recordkeeping system
JPP also developed our own software for downloading to our CNC
machines.
This allows us to send multiple programs to our machines with various
setups, increasing our efficiency and machine utilization.
Furthermone, all machine runtimes are tracked and
accounted
for giving users and managers information as to progress.
With
both a GUI and browser front-ends this information can obtained from
anywhere with internet access. This software provides another
layer of record keeping data and provides more cost-saving
control over each project.
